Allan Louis Loeb Memorial Garden
As you enter the newly-constructed K-9 Barrett Memorial Animal Control Facility, visitors are welcomed by the Allan Louis Loeb Memorial Garden — a special place for people to visit and honor their loved ones (fur babies) who have passed over the Rainbow Bridge. The Garden honors Allan Louis Loeb and his dedication to wildlife and domestic animals and love of gardening.
BACKGROUND
Awarded with a $10,000 Grant from the Allan Louis Loeb Foundation, the Initiative formed a Memorial Garden Team and extended an invitation to all landscape architects to submit a proposal. On February 28, 2026, the landscape architect candidates presented their proposals to the Memorial Garden Team. After an extensive review and discussion of each of the candidates, Greenscapes Landscape Construction & Design, Inc., was selected on March 7, 2026.
Soon after, discussions began regarding their options for the plantings, stones, and each of the elements in the Memorial Garden, including the rainbow bridge, water fountain, trellis, lighting, and pavers. Thanks to the diligence and hard work of the volunteers, the Garden came into fruition in time for the K-9 Barrett Memorial Animal Control Facility's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony/Grand Opening & Open House on June 13, 2026.

The Garden also creates a meaningful opportunity for people to donate in the memory of their fur babies. 6" x 9" engraved memorial pavers are available for $100 each. Each paver may include an inscription of up to five (5) lines of 15 characters per line (spaces and punctuation marks included).
